＜小報大戰＞ 《頭條日報》與《AM730》相繼面世，連同在地鐵站內派發的《都市日報》，掀開免費報章「三足鼎立」的局面，亦令人關注傳統報紙的經營會否受到影響。「收費報章」與「免費報章」的兩個市場是「河水不犯井水」，還是此消彼長？免費報章的興起，有論者認為，反映了在資訊爆炸的社會中，讀者吸收資訊的習慣和口味改變了，會否為傳統報章的經營敲響警號？ ＜IT人才荒＞ 幾年前，IT（資訊科技）曾經是新寵兒，人們爭相入行，但這股熱潮隨著科技泡沫爆破後迅速逆轉，各大專院校開辦的IT學科，乏人問津，IT有關科目的申請人數下降兩成，各院校都要千方百計爭奪學生，改變他們對這門學科的看法。另一方面，香港IT行業正出現人才荒現象，香港科技園透露，現有的百多間公司，需要多聘一千個IT人才，但本地卻供應不足，部分公司轉而吸引內地海歸派和相關人才來港工作；有本地小型IT公司老闆說，現有員工要求加薪四成，新畢業生要求過萬月薪，但仍有空缺，IT行業有工無人做的現象怎樣才可以扭轉？
